High-expansion polyethylene (PEF material) is a type of closed-cell foam plastic made by chemical cross-linking and secondary foaming of low-density polyethylene and flame retardants. It possesses all the characteristics of ideal thermal insulation materials, and its unique physicochemical properties give it unparalleled advantages over other insulation materials in applications such as thermal insulation and moisture protection.

Low-foaming (commonly known as one-step method) involves forming a sheet of material from a thoroughly mixed mixture into a press mold, heating and pressurizing it, and then further increasing the temperature (150-180℃, 5-21 MPa) to decompose the resin and achieve a certain degree of crosslinking. After the foaming agent has completely decomposed (30-60 minutes), the pressure is released, allowing the hot material to expand and eject from the mold, completing foaming within 2-3 seconds. The foaming ratio is typically 5-15 times.

High-foaming (also known as two-stage foaming) involves heating and pressurizing the thoroughly mixed material in a mold to achieve crosslinking, with some foaming agent decomposing and producing partial foaming. The mold is cooled to a certain temperature, and the material is removed and subjected to secondary heating and foaming at normal pressure. The foaming ratio can be 30-45 times.
